Robin looked at Daimon after going to her room. He was a cute little dragon, and seemed like he would be a good friend. She gave a small smile and carefully placed the dragon on her bed, then looked at her room. Well, now would be the time to clean it. She needed to find all of her things anyway, especially if she wanted to leave quickly, that, and she needed her travel cube. A device invented two decades ago, it could contain up to 100 items, and make it really easy to carry things. She sighed and began the clean up of clothes and other items, placing the clothes in the hamper to be washed, and the items in a pile to be sorted through after wards. She started to wonder how much of those things she would miss, but she knew she was going to leave it all eventually. At least Stacy wasn't having as hard of a time, at least she hoped so. She looked at the house across the street and smiled. At least she wasn't going to be alone in this adventure.

A few hours later, Robin realized she had just the pile to go through, and she would be done with organizing her things. She had found the travel cube and it was now sitting on her desk. She looked over at Daimon, who was, amazingly, still asleep. She gave a small smile, then opened her travel cube. It had some basics already in it, but on her trip with Stacey, she would have to make sure to buy a few extra supplies, since she didn't know how long she would be gone. Sighing, she decided to leave it open and go get the load of laundry she had done earlier into the dryer, and start a new load.
The pastel colors of her current dirty load going into the wash seemed to make life happy again.  The small smile that she put on the outside from the thought didn't make her feel any better though. She went back to placing the clothes in the wash, trying to get her mind wrapped around a basic chore. The sound of a television wasn't helping though. Based on the sounds, Michael was playing one of their favorite games from when they were kids. It had been a game of strategy and working together to save the world from a shadowed villain. His name, no one had ever known, but she and Micheal had called him Anarchy, since it described his personality perfectly. Anarchy always disobeyed the government and tried to convince you to do the same. If he managed it, to even just one of the two heroes of the story, then you got a new story. She and Micheal had played the game so often, that they eventually had made their own story around it, and that was where her love for dragons had sprung from. The military love had started when her brother had started training and hadn't planned on joining the war. It still didn't seem real, and it probably wouldn't, not for a while.
Sighing, she went back to her room to find Daimon awake. He was looking around for something, and it was apparently her, since he jumped on her like the first time she had seen him this morning, and started licking her face.

“Ack, Daimon, please stop.”

Amazingly, the young dragon stopped immediately. Robin blinked a few times, since she was impressed at the baby dragon's quick reaction to obeying.

“Well, mom will like that.”

Robin realized after her initial shock, that she was on the ground now, which meant taking Daimon off of her to get back up. She saw her brother above her as well. He probably had come running when he had heard a thump. Even when playing video games, Michael had really good hearing. She just laughed at the look on his face. It was one she had seen before, and glad to see again. It was proof to her that the old Micheal was still there somewhere, and it was something she needed.

“I wish you could see the look on your face.”

“I wish you wouldn't scare me like that.”

“Sorry, Daimon had apparently woken up from his nap and I came back to him looking for something, then got jumped upon as soon as he saw me.”

“Is she alright?” The voice of Stalvor could be heard from down the hallway.

“I'm alright, just got tackled by a baby dragon!” She looked back at Daimon. “At least, I think he's a baby.”

“He is, and will remain so until he finds the person he's supposed to protect. Only that person can bring him to his full potential.” Stalvor was now standing next to Micheal. “Would you like help up?”

Robin blushed, then shook her head. “No thank you. It's not the first time he's done that. So how does he know when he's found the person he's supposed to protect?”

“I'm not really sure. He belongs to a different type of dragon then I do. I just knew his parents, and they asked me to watch over him, since they didn't want him raised in a town of captivity. They knew he would never find the person he was supposed to protect otherwise.”

“Huh, well, maybe you'll find the person you're supposed to protect on our travels Daimon.”

From this, she got a lick in response. She was starting to think Daimon acted like a dog, but that made her love him all the more for it. She smiled then got him off of her and stood up. She walked out of her room and closed the door behind her. She looked up at the two guys, with her 5'9 height. Tall for human, but not for a draconian. They were still looking at her with a look of concern.

“Would you two stop it? You're faces will freeze that way if you're not careful.”

“Hey, that was mom's line.” Well, at least it got Michael to change his expression.

“I know, but still, I'm fine, I'm a big girl now.” Just for old times sake, she looked at her brother and stuck her tongue out, which got a laugh out of him.

“How much I missed being home.” She saw Michael look at Stalvor. “She's telling the truth, she's okay, so you can take the look off of your face.”

Stalvor realized what expression he had as well, and rubbed his eyes. “Sorry, I am concerned for something else though.”

Robin's ears perked up. “What is that?”

“Me being here. What about your parents? I'm sure they've heard of the wars.”

“Mom and Dad use to let the Flarcons in when we were at war with them a decade ago. I don't think they'll mind.”

“Nor do I, I'll go get the guest room ready.”

“Ah, you're so sweet sis.”

“You get to sleep in your own room. You've been gone five years, and we've added a guest room since then. I'm not touching your room if I can help it.” Robin grinned mischievously.

“I was wondering why the house was bigger, and what do you mean? You use to touch the door all the time.”

“That was to get your attention, since you didn't like being late for dinner.”

“Says the girl who would tell me it was ready, only to trick me into helping mom.”

“And it always worked.”

He was starting to give in, Robin knew she should probably start backing away now, but she was still going for old times sake. “Yes, yes it did. But I always got my revenge. Remember how?”

Robin knew it was coming, but rolled her eyes while saying the next part. “All to well”

And then it happened, Micheal was tickling her, making her laugh harder then she had in a while. The memories of when they were kids coming back as she tried to escape her tormenter, even though he knew all her moves and brought her right back for the monster tickle attack. Eventually, it did end, and they both had to catch their breath from all the laughter that had come out. When she had finally gotten her breath back, she hugged her brother. It was good to have him back, and she wasn't going to be left alone again, not this time. She felt the sting of a tear go down her cheek, and didn't care. All she wanted now was to do exactly what she was doing, and that was hug her brother. When she was done, she let go and looked up again at the eyes that were the same colors as hers and smiled.

“I know I haven't said it yet, but I'm really glad you're home.”

She got another hug in response, even tighter then the one from earlier.

“So am I. I've missed you more then you'll ever know.”

Robin saw Stalvor was looking away as she and her brother hugged. She gave a sniff, then let go.

“Look at me, here I am, a mess, and I still need to get the guest room ready.” She laughed, then headed towards the living room, where the new guest room was that Michael had never seen was. It seemed she had gotten some relief from the tears falling down. What she didn't realize, until she felt a bump on her leg, was that Daimon had been there the whole time as well. That just seemed to add to her relief. She picked up the baby, and then opened the door to the guest room.

“Come on Daimon, let's fix things up for Stalvor.” She smiled, closing the door behind her.
Wow, I really need to get back on the ball with this one. >< I hope you guys enjoy the come back of this story, and if you haven't read it yet, here are the first two chapters, which will probably be edited.

The Unexpected EnemyChapter One
The
Unexpected Enemy

Eating a piece of
licorice, Robin looked at the page she was currently viewing. It was
about the wars in space. They seemed to be the biggest thing
recently, and no one wanted to talk about the boring things on Earth.
Robin did though, at least she did until she saw the picture that was
featured with today's head news. It was a picture of a human soldier
guarding his life against the enemy, but the man's eyes were a shade
of gray that she had only seen in her family. Getting out of her
chair, Robin walked to the wall in her room that held all the
pictures of her family and friends. Her gray-red eyes found the
picture she was looking for and pulled it down. Taking the photo
back, she put against the laptop screen, right next to the picture of
the soldier. Plopping back into her seat, she knew who the man was.
“It
can't be, can it?”
Robin inspected
every detail of the two pictures. The more she looked, the more it

Chapter Two
An Unexpected Enemy: Chapter Two
Chapter Two: Learning a Name
Taking in a deep breath, Robin opened the door. An unexpected creature bounced on her, sending her back to her bed. The hit of her bed on the back of her head made her dizzy for a few seconds, but then her eyes went to the being now on top of her. Wagging its tail and sticking its tongue out much like a dog would, Robin almost thought it could be a dog, except it had the same red-gray color that her eyes were all over its scales. Wait, it had scales? Robin rubbed her eyes, then looked at the creature still wagging its back end. It was a dragon, a baby dragon, with scales the color of her eyes. It licked her face, then went back to the hall of her house. How had the kid even gotten in. There was no doggy door in her home, nor had she heard anyone come home. The last time anyone could open the door and close it without her noticing was long ago, five years ago...
Robin got off of her bed and walked back to her bedroom

I'll get a new picture eventually. ><
